Hello friends. Another day in the neighborhood. 

My thoughts are on spring already. I know we have a long time until it gets here but I don't think it hurts to dream about it. I'm dreaming about a quiet picnic in the country. Doesn't that sound wonderful? A basket filled with some good sharp cheese, a baguette of french bread, and some beautiful ripe peaches. Oh, my! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I think I'll keep my mind occuppied with those thoughts instead of what's happening in the world today.

I've been keeping myself busy with my crocheting. I'd like to have about fifty dishrags done by the time the farmers market opens here in June. I don't think that will be a problem. I have also been doing some housework that is long overdue getting done. Fun things like cleaning my hallway- just as much fun and exhilarating as you can imagine - and washing cupboard doors and drawer fronts. There, I bet you wish you were here for all the excitment! Actually I like to keep myself busy. I like the feeling of accomplishment when a job is finished. Don't You?

I have to tell you about a new vegetarian and whole food blog I have found. It's called Cookie and Kate. She has wonderful healthy recipes. Like the awesome Fluffy Cranberry Orange Muffins recipe I made. (Sorry I should have taken a picture but....oh well next time) She adds notes on most of her recipes on how to make them gluten free, sugar free, egg free, etc. and did I mention they were awesome!? I don't follow a vegetarian or whole food diet myself but sometimes, especially in baking I like to make things a little bit more healthy. That way I can eat more muffins and cookies.ha ha😄
